Joe & Sandi Matthews
Rhapsody Praise Ministries
Rhapsody Praise is a Christian Country Duo from the community of Clifton in Spartanburg County, SC. Comprised of recording artists Joe and Sandi Matthews, who in 2018, were called by God to minister to those in need of God's message of Hope and Encouragement.
Male Lead: Joe Matthews, Born November 12, 1961 in the community of Sanford in Lee County, NC. Was encouraged early in life to learn the guitar, and received his first guitar at the age of 11 from his dad. Learned to play music with his uncles and had the opportunity to sing in the church choir growing up. Joe started out singing country music until February 28, 1987, when he accepted Christ as his Savior and crossed over to Christian Country music. In 2017, he accepted the call to become an ordained minister of the Gospel, and met Bo Waldrop who mentored him in the ministry.
Female Lead: Sandi Matthews, born November 9, 1975 and raised in the Blue Ridge community of Greenville County, SC, learned music from an early age. Started piano at age 3, and sang in children's choir and church and school choirs growing up. Learned to sing by singing through the hymnal with family on trips. Married Bo Waldrop in 1999 and served as musical director in the churches that Bo pastored.
Upon the untimely death of Bo Waldrop, Joe and Sandi got to know each other and launched Rhapsody Praise on June 5, 2018 (Bo's Birthday) by singing at church events and nursing homes. They married on July 11, 2018. Recorded their first all-original album in 2020 and released this album January 2021.
