~ BIO ~

Robbie Ansley is a Georgia born and bred country boy. His family lived in a small share-cropper’s house on his great grandpa’s farm in McDuffie County, where his mother sang to him. He discovered a vocal talent, which prompted his singing with her at home and in church.

Robbie started writing country songs in 1996. He and a friend began touring a few local churches to play and sing and found popularity on a local radio station where Greg Harden called them “The Singing Welders.” 2003 found many opened doors as Robbie won third place in VH1’s Song of the Year, songwriting contest, in the country category. In 2008 he worked on a project with Standoff Studios on some songs for a reality fishing show that was aired on the outdoor channel called “The Catch.”

Robbie is also a published poet and Author, formerly writing short stories for a local paper and is currently writing 3 novels; “The Best Christmas Ever,” “Hashtag SMS,” “A Collection of Short Stories,” and a book of poetry, yet to be titled. Robbie formed several bands before joining “Southbound” from Thomson, GA. He co-wrote all of the songs on the album “Up to My Neck in Red” which was released in 2005. They played throughout the Central Savannah River Area, including “The Day in The Country” and “At the Country Club” in Augusta, Ga.

Later the band changed retooled “17 South” with Ansley Co-writing additional songs on their Album released in 2008. They opened for over 25 Major Artists including ones such as Tracy Lawrence, Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, Shenandoah, John Anderson, Black Hawk, T-Gram Brown, Jeff-Bates and Lady Antebellum; just to name a few. 17 South disbanded, but he was just getting started.

Robbie is currently involved in a weekly Facebook live show called “The Pea Ridge Junktion.” He is signed with AOK Records, Nashville, TN and has produced his latest radio single, “I’m Goin’ Crazy” and the upcoming release, “Looking Back” with producer Adam Knight. A-team Nashville musicians, as well as Omni and Hilltop Studios have come together to give Robbie a signature sound.  What keeps him going is his love for family, country and a deep-seated passion for his brand of country music. He’s living on the words of a song having not yet written.
